This lexicon provides the reader with an in-depth study of the words associated with Religions and Spirituality world-wide. This is a collection of definitions from many religions, such as Christianity, Buddhism, and Hinduism, just to name a few. It will also define terms used in philosophies and spiritual circles. It can be distinguished from other approaches to word definitions, as these are not from one source or one discipline, but rather many sources, and numerous scholars. Similarities in definitions are inevitable, but in this text, if the source or author is known, it will be acknowledged.

Unlike the texts of various other glossaries, this is a lexicon which focuses on Religion, Spirituality, and Philosophical thought only. It was written for the convenience and enlightenment of its readers. This lexicon is a compilation of definitions that may be subject to various interpretations. These definitions vary from text-to-text, and this is no exception. The author hopes that the interpretations are part of an exciting thought-process from which stimulating discussion and conversation will arise, and possibly expand and enlighten the points-of-view of the participants.
