Amelia had sent a few letters, addressed to the Elders in general, recounting her diplomatic mission, as she called it, among the Werden Tribe. The Werden's, she said, were to send representatives to meet with me in Khenochia, but were still weary about making any commitments. She said that they knew of another tribe that resided in the Negeam area, which was south and slightly east of Werden. The last letter indicated that they'd sent messengers to them but had yet to receive word.
Finally, on the twelfth day of September, while I was inspecting an extension of the wall of our western front, I received the message that Amelia had arrived at Khenochia. I immediately placed D'Galio, a Captain of that front, to oversee the project, and Haig and I departed for our capital.

"Ah, so good to see you!" Elder Rastus said, taking my hand as I entered the Conference room in my soft robes. It appeared that I was the last to arrive. I looked around the room, which closely resembled the one described in Delarad except this one was much larger and had multiple tables and meeting areas. I was looking for Amelia. I spotted her quickly. She looked radiant in her own light-blue robe, the color designated to honored women. Her dark, strait hair fell loosely onto her shoulders, curving slightly around her neck. I clenched my teeth as I hesitantly wondered how it would be to kiss that graceful neck.
