"Me too. So we're going to have to escape. But first we can dig deeper. We just got into Tyler's desktop. Maybe there's a server somewhere with a lot more files. Maybe in Tyler's lab."
"And what about the other labs? We don't even know what goes on there."
"Maybe GW3 can help us get in there, too. He's always up for a challenge."
They went to find GW3.
At that moment in Menlo Park it was just past 7 pm. A small townhouse belonging to Professor Wolfgang Richter was filled with the strains of one of Mozart's four horn concerti. A few other single senior Stanford professors lived in the complex, yet most could not afford to live in such expensive housing, even with the subsidy that the university provided. Over the music Peter Kendall heard the professor's doorbell.
"Can you see who that is?" the professor called to him from the kitchen.
Peter was the professor's current favorite. As a second-year law student, the good food, wine, and money the professor threw at him wasn't even necessary, as his family was one of the richest in San Mateo County. He actually liked the professor, although he knew that eventually the older man's attention would turn elsewhere. Wolfgang had quite a reputation in the gay community as a person not overly keen on long-term relationships. In particular, he tended to go after the young undergraduates, so Peter considered himself lucky.
