Weekend Getaway

"This one is nice, simple but beautiful," Kayla said handing me the magazine and pointing to a wedding dress.

I set the cup of cocoa on the coffee table and looked at the dress. "Hmm…I like it." I flipped through the magazine. "And this one too. I'm going to end up trying on so many dresses."

She laughed. "Maybe you'll get lucky like I did and find the perfect one after only a few."

"Let's hope so."

The door opened, Derek and Tony stepped inside shaking off snow as they took off their jackets and boots. After hanging first their coats on the rack and then lining their boots near the door, they walked over to us.

"How'd it go, babe?" I asked.

"Who knew skiing could be so hard, huh Derek?" He chuckled. "It went well except for the near accident we had with a tree."

"Are you okay?" Kayla asked, moving over so Derek could sit in the chair with her.

Derek nodded. "Except for the sore muscles, some I didn't even know I had."

Tony sat beside me on the couch, I moved closer to him as he hugged me. He was cold so I put the blanket I was wrapped in around us. Handing him my cocoa, I whispered to him, "Maybe a massage later?"

He grinned and kissed my cheek, his cold lips sending a shiver down my back. "So how was your day of shopping and spa treatments?"
