Monday came too quickly, and Tony had to go back to work, but we were both excited about his week of vacation that was coming up. Since we wouldn't be able to make it up to the cabin, we had made other plans over the weekend. We planned on seeing a play, going to basketball game, and of course Kayla's wedding.
Tony had already gotten ready for work and now we were sitting in the living room, eating bagels and watching the news.
Tony brushed his hands off as he ate the last bite of his bagel. "It's going to be a long day. But I'll get home as soon as I can."
"'K, if you want to you could pick up dinner. You're going to be too tired to cook."
"Good idea, you going to miss me?"
"Maybe," I said coyly.
"Only maybe?" He gave me a half smile.
"Depends, are you going to miss me?"
"Definitely."
I grinned. "Same here, its too bad your vacation isn't this week. You sure there's no: I just got engaged and can't go to work type of thing so you can call in?"
He laughed. "I wish." I started laughing as I noticed cream cheese on his cheek. "What?"
"You've gotten a little messy..." I giggled as I reached over and wiped it off with my napkin.
He kissed my nose. "Thanks."
The doorbell rang. "That's probably, Kayla."
"I'd better go before I'm late."
