I knocked on the door Tony's office. "C'mon in."
I opened the door, and then shut it behind me. Tony was sitting at his desk amid a pile of papers and files that spilled over onto the floor. "Hey, honey. Thought I come by and see how you were doing."
He smiled as he looked up at me. Dropping his pen, he stood up then crossed over to me. "Hey, it's good to see you." He hugged me and I kissed him softly.
"I got off early; I knew you were swamped so I thought you might be up for a late lunch?"
"That sounds great, lemme just put this stuff away then we can go." Kneeling down he scooped up the files off the floor and then straightened up the papers. Grabbing his jack off the chair he slipped it on.
A gunshot rang through the air and I froze.
"Tony?"
He locked the door then stood by my side. "That sounded like a gunshot…this is not good," he reached for his desk phone and quickly dialed 911. "This is Anthony Ramos, at T, M, and G Law Firm there-"Another shot went off and someone screamed. Terrified I reached for Tony's hand. Jake whimpered as he rested his head on my lap. What is going on? "-have been two shots of gunfire send help now…Hurry."
"Listen up; I want the owner and the top two attorneys out here now! If not more of you will get hurt!" A man shouted. Tony put the phone down but didn't hang up.
