Chapter 20 - Page 1 of 7

Day Before

Sitting down on the couch after just getting out the shower, I started putting lavender scented lotion on my legs.

"Wow, that was quick, babe," I said as Tony walked through the door.

He wiped his hands on an oil rag then tucked it in the back pocket of his jeans. Cocking his head to the side he grinned. "I'm that good," he said with a wink. He then walked into the kitchen.

I rubbed in the lotion on my left leg. "So, it's all fixed?"

"Yep, just a spark plug replacement. Didn't take long to fix it," he said over the running water as he washed his hands.

My sexy mechanic. Looking over the sofa I watched as he moved around the kitchen. "That's pretty impressive; I wouldn't know the first thing about spark plugs. I'm glad you fixed it."

"You're welcome sweetheart. Can't have my bride to be stranded on the middle of the road tomorrow now can I?"

I smiled. I can't believe it's almost our wedding day. It seems like he only just proposed, but now here we are the day before our wedding. Finally. I can't wait. "Nope, but I'd find someway to get there."

I squeezed more lotion out of the bottle and rubbed at the dark pink scar that was along the side my leg. Running from the bottom of my heel up to my knee, I almost wanted to rub it off. My leg had healed nicely, I had regained the strength and mobility that I had before if not more because of the exercise and therapy I had done. It had all taken some getting used to, but Tony had remained patient and understanding.
