I decided when I entered the coffee shop the next morning not to get my hopes up, I wanted it to be more than just coffee, but at the same time I didn't want to be crushed if it was only that. I didn't know if he had felt what I had yesterday, but hopefully I'd find out.
I was late since I had been unable to pick an outfit, finally in a rush I decided on a black skirt, a light pink blouse and matching black jacket. Tony was already inside waiting, he quickly made his way over to me. He looked very handsome in his black suit and gray button up shirt. "Good morning." He half smiled at me.
"Good morning." I smiled back at him.
We ordered the coffees and he stood next to me looking around. There was an awkward silence until he turned to me and asked: "Should we take go sit at the table?"
I looked at him, unsure of what to do next. "Are you sure? If you have somewhere to be or things to do it's fine. Yesterday was no big deal and I'd completely understand," I said, giving him an out. Why did I say that? I should've said what I was really thinking. He bit his lip. "Yesterday was a big deal, I met you," he said quietly.
Well I wasn't expecting him to say that, but I couldn't agree more. Maybe I had been wrong, and he had felt the attraction.I blushed a deep shade of red. "Okay, let's find a table." I said and followed him to an empty table. He moved a chair out the way then sat down next to me. Jake laid down under the table.
