The Discover credit card is issued by the Discover Bank, owned Morgan Stanley. There are over 50 million Discover card members. As a Discover credit card holder, you will be part of the largest independent credit card network in the country.
Discover Credit Card - Advantages
The primary differences between Discover Card and others are as follows:

Discover Card does not charge an annual fee.

Discover Card actually PAYS you for using the card - called the Cashback Bonus Award.

Another key difference is that Discover Card is issued by one bank and one company (like American Express). This is fundamentally different from Visa and MasterCard, which are handled by hundreds of different issuers, each with their own unique version of the card. This can make it easier to deal with Discover Card because they are in a position to solve complex problems, resolve disputes over the phone, etc.

Discover Cashback Bonus Award - How it works:
You can redeem your Cashback bonus award from your Discover credit card as soon as you have accumulated an award of $20 or more. Assuming your account is in good standing, your Cashback bonus can then be redeemed in increments of $20 in the following several different ways:
- Cash - You can credit your Discover credit card account, or make an electronic deposit or have Discover send you a check.
- Double your award amount with certificates that can be used from Cashback Bonus Partners. There are currently over 40 Cashback partners including Sprint, Borders and Red Lobster.
- Invest - You can make an electronic transfer of you award amount into an existing savings account, money market fund or college savings plan.
- Donate your award to one of three national charities. Discover will add 20% to your donation.
You can also just keep the points in the account and let them accumulate as you continue to use the Discover card. Discover Card has an online Account Center where you can manage and redeem your awards and also a toll-free number at 1-877-968-7293. This line is available 7 days a week, from 8am to 1am Eastern Time (excluding holidays).
