Chapter 61

Hollow Tree

Cold fire speaks of nothing,

dangerous trails lead down into darkness.

Aware of death,

consuming anger buried upon the headstone,

Lies and deception pay a thousand fold for souls,

blood storms are common as sailors on furlough.

Moons burn on the warlock hour,

devils laugh with an insanity glee.

Innocent child hanged for coins,

cowardly acts, shame the professional.

Justice is blinded by mans’ greed,

weeping mothers lost among the dying stars.

Sons and fathers are consumed like alcohol,

a high so strong the Gods wage war.

Fear is a demon breeder,

they take flight toward mankind’s uncertain future.

Pray in this dim light,

engulfing waters slide the issue.

Armies and navies collide on a scale that rivals a dragon’s life span.

Tomes unleash the prophecies to become.

Angelic times find the daggers edge,

the Lord assassinates these dreamscapes.

Toward the end,

the skies will shriek and the final will is done.

Slow steps in dire agony,

warmth from the candle hides the words of man.

Shadows pace the events,

nightmares forge the first shots.

Calamity befriends death and this hour is the last for earth.
