Lineage of treachery,
self extinction of a family.
I had lived in.
Old photographs shed a grim light on them,
worn from dust and travel.
A lone trail,
down my cheek bids them goodbye.
Silent murder fed me as a child,
a lonely hour in study was the only love I had known. Burned into my memories,
a father with bloody hands that knew peace as an enemy. A mother who hunted the streets,
with a dagger for dates.
Turning the cracked leather page,
down into this heinous nightmare.
Darker hearts with outlandish ambitions,
an uncle who danced on the graves of his kill.
An aunt,
a nurse who killed for greed.
Drowning in a filthy heritage,
as my youth passed by my eyes.
I've watched my family slay one another.
Without guilt their oppression brutalized my innocence.
Accursed from a spiteful will prevent my inheritance to Gods mercy.
Down on my knees, staring into the fire.
Hell speaks to me,
opening my wounds with her kiss.
They (family} reach forth and I turn to retreat.
Trying to claim another soul for eternal torment.
Tossing the album into these cold flames,
skin melting away from my bones.
Scream of pain fills my library as I die before my ghostly audience.
In the end nothing matters,
sadness cradles the stone angels in heaven.
They too were my family,
deathly sleep overcomes me.
