Chapter 16

Blind City

Storms on the horizon,

all heart is lost.

Sorrow, omnipresent in my eyes,

worn down like an abandoned cathedral.

Entombed in darkness,

sapphire-black flames from the soul candle burns brightly.

Laying on scarred concrete,

crying in vain for the Gods to hear.

Sins pour from this drug ridden body.

Mouth spewing insane quotes.

Crawling through my own filth,

suffocating the angel without remorse.

Light rain moistens the apathy of the bleak alley.

Stillness of winter’s love,

cradling the breast of death.

Have you betrayed your own soul?

Upon the marble,

this judgment is too hard too take.

Immortality on this earth,

dwelling among the wretched.

The stars glow has died,

scatter the bottle to the sick.

Write a slogan on these bare walls,

peeling away from the grasp of time.

Laying naked for the savior to come but never receiving the blessed  blood of his body.
