Small Town USA Pitfalls

Justice was driving north on Main Street in his beat-up Chevy. Just outside of town he turned at the bar where he had saved George and Sean two weeks earlier. He parked the car behind the bar, and entered through the back door. Stopping behind a wooden coat rack, he paused to observe the clientele. At the end of the bar closest to Justice, Sean was sitting on a stool eating a sandwich. Justice carefully looked around the room, in case any of the thugs who had attacked them were sitting at one of the dimly-lit tables.

Satisfied for the moment, Justice walked up to Sean. At the sound of footsteps Sean turned, still holding his glass as if to sip his drink. When Sean noticed it was Justice walking toward him, he raised his glass and drank a long gulp and then turned back to stare at the mirror behind the bar. Justice stopped at the empty stool next to Sean and sat down. Justice stared into the mirror, as the bartender approached and asked, "What do ya' want, boy?"

Justice replied, "A draft beer," and the bartender grabbed a glass, from the stack next to the sink, and pulled the stout handle. The glass filled up, but with too much head. The bartender placed the glass in front of Justice, "That'll be four bucks!"

Justice reached for his wallet, but Sean grabbed Justice's wrist and said to the bartender, "Put it on my tab. And I think you made a mistake. A draft is only $2.50."
