"I'll be the judge of that," said Sean, dunking his bagel in the black coffee as he wrinkled his nose. Julie's coffee was always too strong.
"You know, you continue to patronize me as if I just can't handle myself. I think it's time you started treating me like an agent!"
"Well, maybe you should act like one," said Sean, throwing the stale bagel into the sink.
"What the hell do you mean?"
"I mean that I had told you about Frank and that I couldn't trust him, and without checking with me, YOUR PARTNER, first, you went straight to the lion's den. Why? Did you forget what I told you?"
"I… well.. yes. And, I didn't want to disturb you at home."
"Didn't I send the piece of metal to the lab myself? Didn't I tell you I didn't trust him?"
"Yes, you did, but you never explained. I mean, they were rude to me, but I didn't think they were crooked."
"Well, they are!"
"Why are you yelling?"
"And what the hell were that Peter and George doing with you? Are they FBI? Why do you involve civilians?"
"Why don't you shut up and listen? They were going to present the evidence to the FBI. This wasn't a hostile situation!"
"Ahhh!" said Sean now throwing the rest of the coffee into the sink. "I think I'll go into town and get a proper breakfast!"
"You're in a foul mood! I already apologized for interrupting you last night. You don't have to come taking it out on me."
