"I don't know that scam."
"You know: Throw a stone through a window, then sell the store owner new glass the next day? Simple but effective."
Peter stood up and walked down the length of the trailer, grabbing his half-filled cup of coffee. "Terrorists is what they are! Environmental terrorists! They do irreparaÂble harm to the environment -ecocide that future generations will have to pay for!" Peter threw the cold coffee into the sink and poured a fresh cup.
Julie followed Peter to the end of the trailer and waited until he took a sip. "I want to catch these guys too, but I need proof that a jury will accept and convict on."
"Damn! This is too important to be worÂried about protocol anymore!"
"I feel bad, too, when I know there's enviÂronmental abuse but don't have the means to put the responsible parties in jail. That's the most frustrating part of this job."
The red warning light above the trailer door flashed. "It's George!" said Peter as he unlocked the door. George spotted Julie inside and quickly squeezed through the door, almost knocking Peter down with the bundle of papers he carried in his left arm. Julie went to the computer screen and checked out the parking lot. It was empty.
"What's up, George?"
But George didn't answer Peter. InÂstead, he smiled at Julie and led her to the other end of the trailer. "I know you and Sean were following Mr. Hugo Arias and Mr. Forsythe so I did some investigating." George looked across the trailer at Peter and frowned. "Unfortunately, I don't have the computer skills you have! But I do know where and how to get my hands on all the past newspapers. If you carefully read through them, as I did for the last three days, and you know what to look for, you can get to the truth and unravel the entire conspiracy."
