He took a sip of his soda, placed it on the night table and started dressing when he heard a knock at the door.
"It's Julie."
Sean opened the door and found Peter and Julie. They barged in excitedly. "We found out something. We may have solved this case!"
"What is it?" Sean hurriedly tried to put on his pants.
"It's a connection. We found out that all of OC Chemicals' plants are controlled by the same software package," said Julie gleaming as she looked at Peter.
"It's not unusual for one company to use one vendor," replied Sean skeptically, as he took off his undershirt and combed his hair. He took out a crisp shirt from his bag and carefully put in on while gazing Julie. Her eyes, however, were focused on Peter.
"They've had a series of accidents lately, and in all cases, the failed components are controlled by the software," said Peter.
"Accidents always happened at night and weren't consistent. No one was hurt," finished Juliana.
"So, they run a bad operation. They have a poor safety record or bad software. What does this prove?" asked Sean.
"There's more..." continued Peter. "There have been some large payments made to the software company lately. So, they are getting more contracts despite their poor performance. And one of the officers of the company resides here in town and has been seen talking to Hugo Arias, the plant manager."
