Small Town USA Local Exposure

"Oh, you shouldn't be so quick to judge all southern hospitality. Look I'm going to be in Wilburn within the hour, and …"

Julie interrupted, "How did you know I was in Wilburn?"

"Everyone has heard about the Wilburn accident by now, and you know that my environmental organization has resources tracking who and what is happening. I called your apartment and found you were out of town, so I did some checking at the agency. I assume you and Sean are working together again. So how is Sean?"

"He's fine. He seems to know how to get along with these folks. But why are you coming to Wilburn?"

"This chemical release is big news, but the major networks are playing it down. You know they always try to underplay these incidents, first by passing them off as simple accidents and then by giving vague or incomplete information. But I know this was no accident."

"How do you know that? We're just starting our investigation."

"You'll have to see me to find that out. I'm heading to the KCAMP trailer park. It's outside of Wilburn. It's not a large facility, but with all the people who have evacuated the area they have room for my trailer. Julie, the trailer sleeps five, so you and Sean can stay with me if you wish."

"OK. Actually it would be great to see you and get out of this hostile environment. And I'll drag Sean along. Look, Peter, I'm going to wake Sean and have breakfast first. We should be there in about three hours."
