Chapter 25 - Page 2 of 4

"How did Kingston come to be arrested for the murders"? asked a reporter.

"His image was caught on the stadium security camera the night he murdered Romney in the stadium parking garage,, explained Louis.

His fingerprints were also found inside Romney's car and on the knife used to cut off Broncolski's feet. They were also found on the duct tape that was wrapped around Mrs. Christian's eyes and on all four electrical cords."

"What was his motive"? asked another reporter.

"We don't know that yet," replied Louis.

The police station was teeming with reporters when Ivory arrived with her prisoner. Not out of any special concern for him but because she wished to avoid the media, Ivory led him into the building through a side entrance."

"Thanks," said Kingston.

"You're welcome, said Ivory politely but coldly. Would you like something to drink"?

"Coffee," replied Kingston.

"I'll go get it," said Schurman.

"I want a ginger ale, said Ivory, pushing the phone across the desk to Kingston. You can use the phone to call your lawyer."

"That won't be necessary, replied Kingston. I'm prepared to make a full confession. May I call my wife"?

"You can call whomever you wish, said Ivory handing him a legal pad and pen. When you're done you can write your statement on that tablet."
