Kingston invited Silvers to his office for a meeting, a change for Silvers who usually had Kingston in his office. They were discussing the team's schedule for the final two weeks of the season as well as possible off season trades.

"I want to keep Killarny, said Silvers, sipping his coffee. Fully healthy, I think he has a lot to contribute to this team."

Kingston shook his head as he lit up a cigarette.

"If I can dump him I'm going to," announced Kingston.

"How am I supposed to manage a winning team if I don't get a say in what players stay or go"? demanded an annoyed Silvers.

Kingston didn't answer.

Both men were startled when the office door unexpectantly flew open.

"Mark Alan Kingston, announced Ivory. You're under the arrest for the murder of Jericho Green Valley, Kasey Jonathan Christian, Chaucer Swift Romney and Samuel Wright Broncolski."

Silvers chin dropped to the floor as he watched Reynolds and Schurman handcuff Kingston while Ivory read him his rights.

As Ivory was making the arrest, Police Commissioner Lincoln Louis was announcing it at a televised news conference on the steps of city hall.
