"Where's Pancho? sobbed Suzy? Where's my baby"?
"Your son is fine, Ivory reassured her. He's in the living room with your sister. Can you tell us what happened here"?
"I really don't know, said Suzy trying to compose herself. All I know is that Kasey answered the door and I was hit from behind and knocked out. When I came to, Pancho and i were in the closet and I had something wrapped around my eyes. Where's Kasey"?
Reynolds and Ivory exchanged brief glances.
"Kasey's been murdered," said Ivory breaking the news to her as gently as possible.
Suzy became hysterical again.
"Come on, urged Ivory taking the woman by the hand. Lets go see Pancho."
The two women went into the living room where Kim was stacking blocks with her nephew.
Seeing his mother, the chubby, cherubic like toddler got up and ran over to her. Seeing that her son was all right, a relieved Suzy picked her smiling son up.
Ivory slipped quietly from the living room and back into the kitchen where Reynolds and Schurman were working.
"What are you two thinking"? inquired Reynolds.
"That somebody out there doesn't like the Combers." replied Schurman.
"Its beginning to look like that way, admitted Ivory. But who and why"?
"What did Mrs. Christian tell you"? asked Schurman.
"Nothing, replied Ivory. She was hit from behind and knocked out cold".
