"What about suspects"? inquired another Reporter.
"Unfortunately the answer right now is no," replied Louis.
Stud kicked his locker, half in frustration and half in anger. He had just seen the starting line up and he wasn't in it.
"I'm not starting again," complained Stud as he wandered over to Mike's locker with a chili dog in one hand and a bottle of water in the other."
"Neither am I, replied Mike, looking up from the book he was reading.
But I figure a day off here and there will keep me fresh down the stretch run".
"I guess I'm just frustrated by the season I am having," sighed Stud, biting into his hotdog.
Mike just smiled at his friend.
"Every player goes through what you're going through one time or another in his career, said Mike. You just have to hang in there."
"Even my love life is suffering, continued Stud. I can't remember when the last time was that I didn't go to bed alone and wake up alone."
"I can't help you there, laughed Mike. I'm not Dr. Phil or a match maker from E Harmony."
"I hate to interrupt you two, said Silvers. But Detective Denelle wants to see Stud in my office. What are you reading, Mike"?
"A History of The Pelopenisian Wars by Thuctdides," replied Mike, holding the book up for his manager to see.
