"Chaucer Romney was murdered in the stadium parking garage," announced Reynolds as he handed the report to Ivory.
"How was this determined"? asked Ivory as she opened the manila folder that Reynolds had handed her.
"There was a blood stain on the ground outside the car that was determined to be Romney's, explained Reynolds. There was also a set of fingerprints found on the electrical cord that was tied around his neck. We haven't found the hand or foot or the weapon that was used to cut them off."
"Were there any fingerprints found in Romney's car"? asked Ivory.
"There were four sets, replied Reynolds. One set belonged to Romney of course, one set to his wife, one to his son, and an unidentified set.
The unidentified set was run through the computer but no match was found."
"Drats"! muttered Ivory.
"We also have footage from the security camera, continued Reynolds.
It shows a figure approaching Romney as he is unlocking his car door.
The image isn't clear but the tech people are working on trying to clear it up. The second image is probably our killer."
"Good job! praised Ivory. I could give both of you a big kiss. It looks like we're finally starting to make progress in our investigation."
"I'd rather have a pay raise," quipped Reynolds.
"If it were up to me I would give you both a hefty pay raise," said Ivory.
