"Don't piss on my shoes," said Winters. "I have no idea what Rayburn or the rest of the eunuchs are doing."

"Eunuchs?" asked Pennestri.

"A lot of people know that Tomas has a secret agenda." She turned to the President. "You always have had one. I generally considered it harmless." She was snooping around the files. "My, my, they have been busy. Besides what happened Thursday night, I see four murders, a bunch of bank robberies, and tens of other incidents. Tomas?"

Tomas looked at both of them then stood and strode to his beloved book. He withdrew it from the bookcase and brought it back to the desk.

"There is a lot of truth in here," he said simply. "He is a saint, you know."

"I'm sure most people would agree with me that Mundo Domini is an aberration of everything that is good about the Opus Dei movement. Don't go there, Tomas." Pennestri looked pissed. "I can't prove anything yet but the man named Sergio Battaglia is involved in this somehow."

"We have used him to help in the Colombian and Venezuelan crisis," said Susan. She looked at Delgado. "At Tomas' suggestion. He seemed to be effective."

"I'm sure that was like mixing jet fuel with an arc welder. Effective, yes. Also dangerous. Tomas, do we have a crisis here?"
