"Well, that was about a CIA agent, but I'll give you that. However, if they're undercover, they blew it anyway, since I know their names. And they really blew it if I'm the cleaning woman."

He smiled at that. He swung around with his back towards her and spoke softly to his computer terminal. Then he swung back to face the camera.

"Just for you, Agent Murphy, I'll give you the information. We have no agents with those names. How did you come by them?"

She explained the circumstances.

"That's very strange. I'll have to make a report of this and pass it up through channels, but my guess is that these two men are impersonating DHS agents. I'll get back to you on what I can find out."

Caitlin thanked him.

Were they impersonating DHS agents or were they real agents whose existence Mr. Robot-Man had orders not to acknowledge? Or was there no record of them even at DHS? And why am I suspicious? She reviewed the notes in her PDA from the interview with the Clarks. On a whim, she dialed another number.

Sara Clark came on the line. She looked tired.

"Oh, hello, Agent Murphy. We buried Sandy today."

"I'm so sorry, Mrs. Clark."

"Well, don't be. You didn't kill her."

"No, I'm sorry for your loss. I know it's hard."
