"Fortunately everything's happening at night," said Caitlin. "They're just going to wire everything up so they can later set off the explosives by remote. So right now we won't have any worshippers to worry about. I'm more worried that we'll be outmanned and outgunned. It's happened before."
"Don't worry. They're not expecting us."
"I hope you're right."
It went down first at the Cathedral. In some ten minutes the FBI SWAT spotted dark figures disembarking from two vans. Caitlin activated her mike.
"All right, guys. Be careful. Let's go!"
A lethal firefight broke out that could probably be heard in most of the streets surrounding the Cathedral. Almost immediately the Mosque and the Temple also turned into battle zones.
"They've got some serious firepower!" yelled one of the SWAT members at the Cathedral. "We've got people down."
"Keep them pinned as best you can. The fly boys are coming." Caitlin nodded to another officer. "I want hellfire to reign down on those bastards!"
Six helicopters, two at each site, swooped down on the Mundo Domini positions and opened fire. Rapid fire machine guns turned the area around the six vans into Swiss cheese.
One pass was enough. Those terrorists that were not injured or dead dropped their weapons and surrendered to the SWAT members.
Caitlin watched as the green stick figures were marched to the paddy wagons. It had been surprisingly easy.
