Pueblo and St Elmo

Today I'll tell of another incident here at home, not quite as fun as what happened to Justin, but I thought it was neat at the time.

It had to have been in late 1996 because my son Cody was only a couple of months old at the time. He and I were the only ones home, I had laid him in his crib for a nap and came into the living room and got on the computer, I was doing genealogy research at the time.

Web cams were still somewhat new, at least to me, I didn't know anything about them, but we had one. It sat on top of the monitor, I think Justin had been messing around with it, I'm not sure who was using it, all I knew was I didn't know how to make it turn off, and while it was on, there was a window open on my screen and it irritated the hell out of me. So, when I sat down I moved the angle of the camera, without much thought, and it was then showing the hallway behind me.

I had been there about half an hour, working when I caught movement out of the corner of my eye, on the web cam screen, I thought what the hell...? I looked at the screen and seen a woman standing in the hallway. She had on a long gray dress, she looked very tired, that was my first impression, she was very pretty and had blonde hair pulled up in a bun on top of her head. She was just standing there staring. I turned around fast and there was no one there, I looked back at the screen, she was still there. I kind of freaked out because she was between me and my baby. Then she was just....gone.
