Right now…
Hearts are heavy.
Spirit broken like the Ninth Ward levy.
Sadness surrounds the soul.
Right now, the world seems so incredibly cold.
Right now…
We want to know why.
Do we all just live, so that we can die?
Because it sure doesn't feel right to cry,
Or, for us to experience immense elation like we were born to say, "Hello",
Only to go through guilt and grief like we're the one that died when we it's time to say goodbye.
Death is a mighty blow…and it hurts like hell, I know, so…
Right now…
Consider that God's got a garden called Earth.
Everyday he nurtures it meticulously to demonstrate its worth.
If it were 366 Days, 13 Months and 25 Hours
He would spend it picking only the most perfect of his flowers.
To finally give rest to and his best to…
He takes them, all the while knowing the others will be left grievin'.
However, it's his personal gift, the ultimate shot at a VIP spot in his celestial Eden.
Where pain is rare, like next to nowhere…
And no one dares to feel sadness, guilt, grief or fears…
Consider that maybe the good of our loved one's souls are spared and shared…
Through the nourishment of our tears!
Right now…
It hurts like hell, I know
Consider that the blessin' in grief's lesson may be the knowledge that they had to go.
