Chapter 15 - Page 1 of 2

Just Because

Just because the porch light is out,

Doesn't mean that no one is home.

Just because a woman is by herself,

Doesn't mean she likes being alone.

Just because a woman is light-skinned with long hair,

Doesn't mean she's snooty.

Just because a woman isn't dressed like a hoochie,

Doesn't mean she don't like to shake her booty.

Just because a woman likes expensive things,

Doesn't mean that she's a "Digger".

Just because you see a black man,

Doesn't mean that he's a "Nigger".

Just because a man is apprehensive to commit,

Doesn't mean his love for his lady isn't definite.

Just because a man is alone.

Doesn't mean he is lonely.

Just because a man confesses his love,

Doesn't mean you're his one and only.

Just because a man cheats,

Doesn't mean he's the only one wrong.

Just because a man isn't cheap,

Doesn't mean it's with him that you belong.

Just because a man is playful,

Doesn't mean that he's a dog,

Just because a woman is dedicated to her man,

Doesn't mean she is destined to live within his fog.

Just because there's snow on the roof,

Doesn't mean the fireplace is not burning.

Just because one is up in age,

Doesn't mean they lack sexual yearning.

Just because a couples' bodies seem to fit,

Doesn't mean that they fit together.

Just because a couple is married,

Doesn't mean that union will last forever.
