Art Class

"It was ripped before, maybe they could have just re-entered the painting in the morning." Kate said, her face getting red. She wanted to cry. She felt like she had made a big mistake, not thinking of it earlier. Even though she enjoyed the company of the paintings, she felt like she failed in the task to return them to their world. "Maybe we can never get them back to where they belong."

"Kate, it isn't that bad. The Scream is popular with everyone in the school now, and he is so much happier now that we explained the red sky to him. The Thinker will think up some big thing like how to end wars or cure some bad disease. If not, Gina might be able to persuade him to write some limericks. And Mona Lisa is enjoying the 21st century and adapting well to life here. It will work out," said Will.

"Besides," The Thinker pointed out. "We couldn't get back into our own paintings at the museum, so I don't think we could get into Mona Lisa's painting here. It just doesn't seem possible. What if we tried going back to the art museum?"

"No," said Will. Kate looked up, surprised to see his quick answer. "If we go there we need to get through all the security features. I think if we tried to get in, we will probably be arrested or worse. You know they will never believe us if we tried to tell them what happened."
