Ashlyn's attention returned to her present environment when Myron paused to lean with poise against a wall. There was enough contained in his dynamic eyes alone to dismiss the clouds that had drifted across her active thought. Then the other girl stepped through the wall and disappeared.
She literally stepped through it, as if she had become temporarily incorporeal. The image of the stone remained undisturbed. Her two male companions followed her.
Myron made a gesture with his hands toward the wall, offering entrance.
Ashlyn looked upon it with confusion.
Myron raised his eyebrows, questioning her hesitation.
"It's a glamour," T'sailiéss said softly, for only her to hear. "The door is there, but magickally cloaked."
Ashlyn knew about glamours; they were minor tricks of sorcery, something Star*port entertainers oft relied on and something the locals had learned to dismiss when not done with notable flair or quality. Without further delay, she stepped into the place on the wall through which the others had passed.
The room was eclectic. She saw some things she recognized, some she didn't. The furniture resembled beds without frames. The floor was littered with all sorts of items. Several things about the room glowed, even the walls which were painted in places to decorate the otherwise smooth stone. An arch at the back led into another room, the contents of which she could not discern from the front entrance.
"Introductions," Myron announced brightly, springing around T'sailiéss who had entered moments before and was yet lingering near the door.
