"Ah," Myron said exaltedly, his arms stretched wide as he looked to the heavens, "now this is Avden's domain."
Ehren stripped down to a bare minimum of clothing then started trying to assist Larith in doing the same. She resisted, putting up a fuss until he backed off.
"Let her be," Caelir urged, retaining a friendly manner in doing so. "You know how she feels about swimming out there."
Larith wrapped her garments tighter about her, retreating to the security offered by resting against the grey stone walls of the city.
Ehren shrugged, taking a couple steps passed the edge of the furthest structure out then diving outward, being swallowed by the mist in the process.
"The water's great," he called back, his voicing carrying back to them in an almost eerie fashion. "Anyone with any courage would join me and agree."
Myron started to strip, and Ashlyn followed his example. They left their clothes with Ehren's. Myron released Gem from its jar with the assignment to flutter above the mist over the spot where they left their possessions so they could find them again when the time came to go back inside.
Ashlyn was hesitant to step off the edge, but Ehren's remark about courage followed her and she had no intentions of coming off the coward. Besides, she knew from her past in Star*port that she was probably a stronger swimmer than any of the company she now kept.
