Chapter 3

The wind whipped around Aurora's Ninja like a warm morning glove as she powered her ride down I-95 gliding in and out of traffic like a ghost at 90 miles an hour. She never felt more alive than when she was riding free on her bike with a warm Floridian breeze in her face or when taking a human life. For Aurora Constantine, both were exhilarating and like a drug, both were addictive and hard to give up. The idea of a new job, a new kill assignment drove her very soul into overdrive and it showed as the Ninja blasted down the roadway toward that bliss and that thin veil of right and wrong.

Her wheels stopped at the hotel where she was asked to go. Removing her sun glasses, she gazed upon the building as it shimmered in the light of the morning sunshine. With her right hand, she slipped her keys into her jeans and ran her hand over her sub compact 9mm Glock on her belt holster. Reaching for her cell, she made contact with the last caller to set up the contract and for whom that contract was targeted for. It was a straight up assignment for the former CIA agent turn freelance assassin. As she entered the hotel lobby and made her way to the room of the target, she could feel her heart pumping widely along with an oddly sense of joy.

Room 2-B was where she stopped and stood before the door running the events over in her mind. With just a knock on the door and gun in hand, the scene was set to play out for a bad man, a child toucher and an abusive husband who had this coming for a long time according to his batted wife. With a deep breath, Aurora burst through the door and without hesitation found her target sitting in bed with one of his many cohorts in pink panties and matching cosset beside him. In the blink of an eye and muzzle flash, he was dead before her gun's magazine had spent its cartridge. In the fury of the action the girl too took a bullet before she could even let out a scream. The first rule of assassination, leave no one as witnesses.
