Called from out the pressing crowd
Into a world apart,
The sanctified by sunshine
And tempered in the park
The snag in their relationship was a distant memory five weeks later as Andrea gazed at Torry across the bubbling waters of a Jacuzzi in the expensive hotel room he had rented for their last night together on the road. They were relaxing after breaking down the Sarasota show. Andrea was to leave for home the next morning and Torry would continue on in Florida for one last show before returning to Michigan. She hated to leave him, but Andrea had already been away from her children too long.
This special night at the Walford Plaza had been a lovely gesture. Andrea and Torry hadn't spent as much time together as she had hoped. The art shows, though successful for the most part, had been demanding, with long hours at their separate booths. Because they were in different vehicles, the hours spent driving between fairs were solitary, too. During the Mount Dora weekend, she didn't see Torry at all for almost five days.
They had been dead tired most nights during the shows, too weary to do more than unwind over dinner and go to bed. The time she did spend with Torry, however, had been wonderful, and Andrea was glad she had made the decision to come.
The only hint of discord came early in the tour. The incident was disconcerting at the time, but more of a misunderstanding than a problem, and best forgotten.
