by Samuel Rutherford Crockett

The story of Ralph Paden and Winsome Charteris is a sweet love story, tempered with a good dose of Scottish humor. Even as churchmen and politicians clash in age-old feuds, the young lovers pursue their passion singlemindedly, making the politics of the day seem trivial compared to their union.
