Rafael Sabatini
| Biography: | Rafael Sabatini, born in 1875 in the small town of Jesi, Italy, was a prolific novelist in many genres. His parents were famous opera singers, and the family travelled extensively, leaving young Rafael in the care of his grandparents in Liverpool. An avid reader from a young age, Sabatini started writing romances around 1895, and quickly became a popular author. He became known internationally for Scaramouche (1921) and Captain Blood (1922). |
