| Biography: | American author Marion Eleanor Zimmer Bradley (1930-1999) is remembered for her fantasy novels with a feminist perspective, such as The Mists of Avalon and the Darkover series. Bradley was married twice and had two children, although she was also active in a lesbian political group and wrote novels on gay themes under several pen names. Active with speculative fiction fans, Bradley was cofounder of the Society for Creative Anachronism. |
