| Biography: | Margaret Mayo was the professional name of Lillian Slatten (1882-1951), an American actress, playwright and screenwriter. Performing on stage for decades, Mayo later turned to playwriting. She is best known for plays like Baby Mine (1910) and Twin Beds (1914). Her play Polly of the Circus was the first film produced by the Goldwyn Company in 1917. |
