Biography: The German novelist known as Luise Muhlbach was actually born Klara Muller in 1814. Using her pseudonym, she wrote over 50 novels, many of them historical romances. These include titles like Frederick the Great and His Court, and The Empress Josephine. She was financially very successful, ultimately building a lavish home in Berlin where literary and social leaders met.
