Sweet Nothings - Volume Two
by Jean MacIntyreSweet Nothings - Volume Two
Sweet Nothings are short stories - sweet romances where characters from all walks of life find love, even when they are not actively looking for it. Writing these short stories is much more enjoyable than writing full novels. I hope you enjoy them too.
Coffee To Go
Melanie has a run-in at a coffee shop with a stranger. She meets him again at her sister’s dinner party, and her antagonism is obvious. He forces a truce and realizes he will have to move slowly to win her trust, after discovering she has recently broken her engagement because of betrayal.
Charly applies for a position as a farm insurance inspector, knowing she has an uphill battle trying to work in a traditional men’s role. She is immediately aware of an intense hostility from one of the company directors, but manages to strike a bargain with him to work for three days at no salary. She gets the job and eventually wins his heart.
|Biography:||Jean's writing career started about thirty years ago when she wrote four romance novels. One was accepted for publication as an audio book, but the company went out of business before it could be processed. Those four books were her learning ground and she says she has since regretted throwing them out. Dream Lover was her next attempt at writing romance fiction and she is happy to see that readers are enjoying it. She has since published six more romances on Smashwords and is currently writing books of short stories. She has also published three non-fiction books as well as children's photo story books.
