| Biography: | Born Mary Esther Miller, American author Grace Miller White (1868-1957) took her first name from her younger sister who died in infancy. Her first publications were novelizations of mystery plays such as Another Man's Wife and A Midnight Marriage. She began writing romantic novels in 1909, with Tess of the Storm Country, which has been adapted to film several times. Other novels include Rose O'Paradise (1915) and Susan of the Storm (1927). |
