Biography: Frank Richard Stockton, born in 1834, was an American writer and magazine editor who was well-known for his humorous children's fairy tales and short stories such as "The Lady, or the Tiger?" as well as his novels of domestic comedies and his fast-paced romance novels. Before his death in 1902 he published 23 volumes of adult and children stories.
