| Biography: | American writer Edgar Rice Burroughs (1875-1950) is best-known for his Tarzan series, although he wrote in many genres, including science fiction and fantasy. His writing career started small with pulp fiction magazine entries, and grew to widespread fame with nearly 70 popular novels. Two American towns were named for the Tarzan character, and a crater on Mars is known as the Burroughs crater. |
