| Biography: | Anthony Trollope (1815-1882) was one of England's most acclaimed novelists. After an early career in the postal service in England and Ireland, he began publishing novels, and achieved his first success with The Warden (1855). Trollope traveled widely, and wrote travel books and biographies as well as novels that depict the state of Victorian society in his time. |
